  • Case study of supermarket check-out operators to look at the re-design of the working area to avoid twisting, reaching and sitting unsupported.

  • Case study to address the way in which physiotherapists / nurses handle patients in hospitals and colleges for disabled students to write procedures for safe moving and handling.

  • The provision of manual handling training to food preparation staff to assist in reducing the risk of injury.

  • Individual assessments of teachers with a history of back problems. Implemented solutions to reduce the aggravation of existing conditions.

  • Manual Handling Assessments of the moving and handling process in a mortuary.

  • Full and detailed study regarding the design of the counters in a banking hall.

  • Specific ergonomic assessments to investigate complaints of upper limb disorders / back problems on production lines involving assembly of walking frames, beauty products, windscreens, kitchen cupboards, car control panels, dashboards etc.

  • Study of clean areas in laboratories to address general ergonomic issues relating to employees working environment and welfare.

  • 4 month project to carry out Display Screen Equipment assessments / programme / training for a large tyre manufacturer.

  • Manual Handling assessments of bar staff carrying out the process of beer barrel changes.

  • Individual ergonomic assessments for people with disabilities to provide recommendations for behavioural changes / tailor made equipment to assist individuals to remain at work or get back to work (over 4,000 individual cases assessed).

  • Case study of all ergonomic aspects relating to call centre staff including the general working environment, breaks, work related stress, ergonomic layout of the workstation etc.

  • Assessment of check-in staff at large international airport to consider ergonomic workstation design and subsequent changes.
